Lynch was educated at St. Bernard's CBCCollege, Moonee Ponds Victoria.He is the great, great grandson of Kyneton pioneerJoseph Hall who established Windmill Farm in 1849.He built two other nearby local farms in the 1850's.He has written several history/fictional and localVictorian history books, plus his autobiography. Mostbooks are available in local state libraries and ase-books. Primarily the stories are based on Victoriancolonial and WW1 events with possible interrelatedscenarios. To research these books, he successfullytravelled to his family's origins in England and Irelandseveral times.John is an ex-navy veteran and was President of theRomsey/Lancefield R.S.L. for nearly ten years. He is aReserve member of the Macedon Ranges Legacy Group,having served as Chairman of the group, long termSergeant of Arms and a Board Member of the BendigoClub.He served on the Romsey Football/Netball Clubcommittee for over twelve years as President/Secretaryand committee member.
