The Chinese word PUREN is translated Servant. It's quite simple. To be a great leader, one must first become a great servant. It's spiritual journey not an overnight experience. It took 30 years for former American business executive Brother Timothy. As an Asian in America, Timothy had achieved the pinnacle of the American dream. As a Christian, he was an elder and leader in his church. Yet God wanted more. In faith an obedience, he and his wife, Ruth, accepted the call to Europe/USSR and eventually Asia. Brother Timothy is a 4th generation Christian whose great grandfather was converted under the ministry of Hudson Taylor in the 1850's. He worked in a fortune 500 company in the USA and was on the fast track to an upper level position when he and his wife received a personal call from the Lord. Their network of churches sent them to the former USSR after the fall of communism. They served the church community until 1996, when they were sent out to Asia. Timothy and Ruth have been serving for over 30 years cross-culturally and are dedicated to planting and equipping churches around the world. They believe people are a priority and relationships are to be lasting. Timothy and Ruth's life vision is for this generation to be passionate for God and compassionate toward God's people.
