Achim Stephan geb. 1955, Studium der Philosophie, Mathematik sowie Psychotherapie und Psychosomatik in Mannheim und Göttingen. Habilitation 1998. Lehrte in Karlsruhe, Göttingen, Mannheim, Bielefeld, Bremen sowie an der HU Berlin; Gastwissenschaftler an der Rutgers University (USA), Fellow des Hanse-Wissenschaftskollegs Delmenhorst und Gastprofessor für Philosophie am Humboldt-Studienzentrum der Universität Ulm. Er ist seit 2003 Professor für Philosophie der Kognition an der Universität Osnabrück.
