Women's soccer has become an integral part of German sporting life, yet it is often forgotten. The current developments have not yet received sufficient attention from the public and the media, nor from academics. This book therefore deals with a variety of current developments in German women's soccer and its professionalization. Not only has the organization of the game changed since the official admission of "women's soccer," but also the conditions of competition and reception.
