It better not be another ghost... After moving to escape someone no one else could see, I finally got my own apartment. Ghosts have followed me around since childhood, but between unpacking and culinary classes, I don't have time to deal with wayward spirits. Mom and Gram say they've warded my new place against ghosts, whatever that means, but soon, things begin to fall over, move around, and roll across the floor. I may not be as alone as I had hoped. Will an uninvited roommate chase me out before I can settle in? Or will I be forced to live with the dead once again? Coffee and Calicos is a complete bite-sized mystery meant to give you a taste of what's to come. Set a few years before the start of the events in the Mixing Up Magic series featuring the same characters, it can be read as a standalone, with others in this series, or at any point during the Mixing Up Magic series.

Rosie Pease is a native Rhode Islander but has lived in Vermont, New York, and Ohio. She uses the places she's traveled to as inspiration for the settings of her cozy mysteries, pulling the theater from one, the cider mill from another, the river from another to create a fictitious town that feels familiar.
She collects Funko Pops of the Harry Potter, Hunger Games, Doctor Who, DC TV, and Marvel variety, with a few others thrown in for fun. Her desk is a mess, but she can find everything on it, so it works for her.
When she's not writing, she's playing with her daughter, hanging out with her husband, or being amused by her two crazy cats.
