Prolific in many genres, he wrote dozens of novels, short stories, and works of social commentary, history, satire, biography and autobiography.Samuel Butler (4 December 1835 18 June 1902) was the iconoclastic English author of the Utopian satirical novel Erewhon (1872) and the semi-autobiographical Bildungsroman The Way of All Flesh, published posthumously in 1903.Jules Gabriel Verne (8 February 1828 24 March 1905) was a French novelist, poet, and playwright.
